gettext-el software package provides Emacs po-mode for editing gettext .po files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gettext-el
gettext-el is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gettext-el package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gettext-el *
You will get with gettext-el package name, version, architecture and description in a table
